18 March 2011, Victoria, Gozo, Court of Magistrates (Gozo, Superior Jurisdiction Ref Citaz. Nru 9/2006). In a case instituted by the employees of a public corporation, the Court ruled that it should not interfer in managerial decisions on the running of the Corporation ('Il-qorti m'ghandhiex tindahal fil-mod kif il-korporazzjoni titmexxa mill-aspett manigerjali').

8 March 2011, Luxembourg (Case C-34/09). The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) upheld a claim made by a Columbian national, that he enjoys as a very least, a derived right of residence.
 

11 March 2011, Valletta. Chief Justice Emeritus Dr Joseph Said Pullicino was sworn in for his second five-year term as Parliamentary Ombudsman.

9 March 2011, London (Sienkiweicz v. Greif & Knowsley Metropolitan Bureau Council v. Willmore). The Supreme Court dismissed two appeals from awards of damages to descendants of persons who died from asbestos exposure (mesothelioma). In the process it confirmed the Fairchild exception and dismissed appellants' claims that the asbestos exposure at least doubled the risk of the victim developing mesothelioma.

24 February 2011, Valletta (Ref: Appell Civ. nru 3/2010). The Court of Appeal confirmed the revocation of a permit to construct a block of flats, under article 39A of the Development Planning Act.

26 February 2011. The UN Security Council referred Libya to the ICC after a plea from Libya's own UN delegation, which had announced that it no longer represented Col. Gaddafi.
