Maltese Parliamentary Ombudsman sworn in for 2nd term

11 March 2011, Valletta. Chief Justice Emeritus Dr Joseph Said Pullicino was sworn in for his second five-year term as Parliamentary Ombudsman.

The President of the Republic, Dr George Abela, congratulated the Ombudsman, commenting that the re-appoinmtment was an indication of trust in the incumbent. President Abela also referred to the importance of the Ombudsman's role in a democratic society, and augured Dr Said Pullicino a second term from which the country will benefit.
